Reunions

The first alumni reunion was held in Atlanta on August 7 2005. A total of about 15 alumni were attended. Yeshi Emebet and her family hosted the reunion. Lots of discussion took place about the progress and directions of ADSAA, and more than any thing else members were delighted to see each other after long years of separation. Yeshi provided Ethiopian traditional food with house brewed konjo tela and buna. The reunion and the festivities lasted for about four hours and some of the group pictures highlighted the spirit of the day. Ephraim Admassu, an alumnus, helped designing and producing t-shirts with alumni and community mottos. The sales of t shirts helped raise funds for the Azezo High School toilet construction project. The board would like to extend its appreciation to Yeshi Emebet for her hospitality and Ephraim for designing the t-shirts.

ADSAA will host a reunion every year in the first week of July. The reunions timing and venue will coincide with the Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA) annual soccer tournament. The 2006 reunion will be held in Los Angles. Details will be provided latter, and all alumni are encouraged to attend.
